About Micah Barry
Micah Barry was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. After graduating with his bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Political Science from The Ohio State University, Micah attended the University of Toledo College of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, and served on the Toledo Law Review.
Micah then practiced employment litigation representing employees and small businesses. After a few years, Micah decided to pursue a PhD in Educational Administration and Policy at the University of Georgia. While pursuing his PhD, Micah opened the Law Office of Micah Barry, LLC, which operated as a litigation consulting practice.
After finishing his PhD, Dr. Barry taught paralegal and business law courses at the University of North Georgia Mike Cottrell College of Business. Micah maintained his litigation consulting practice throughout his time teaching. Micah then worked as a superior court judicial staff attorney.
Across Micah's career, he has gained experience in a variety of areas of law. Micah has operated as a plaintiffs' lawyer, a civil defense lawyer, and a neutral judicial staff attorney and instructor. As a mediator, Micah leverages the full range of his experience and knowledge to help parties attempt to reach a resolution that works for them.
Micah and his wife Samantha enjoy watching college football, even though Micah roots for Ohio State, Georgia, and Toledo (in that order), and Samantha is an Alabama fan. They enjoy spending time with their dog, Annie.
